Sodalite Hackmanite

About Sodalite Hackmaniteextended article
Hackmanite
Hackmanite is the sulfur-bearing variety of sodalite with a genuine party trick: tenebrescence. Ultraviolet light shifts its color toward raspberry-purple; ordinary daylight bleaches it back — a reversible cycle the stone can repeat indefinitely. Fresh-broken surfaces often show the deepest color before their first bleaching.
